This frame is the same design pattern as the regular Glide Premium except that the body plates are 2.5mm instead of 2mm and arms are 6mm with a chamfer instead of 5mm. Please refer to the description of the regular Glide for all the base features.
This frame is intended for beginners or those that desire bashers. It weighs a whole 36g more than the Glide Lite which is what we recommend for advanced users.
Recommended build out:
- 20x20 6S capable ESC (we have one we will offer soon)
- 20x20 FC (working on a custom option to be offered soon)
- 20x20 Vtx or smaller (Rush Tank and cheaper option to be offered soon)
- Sub 180g 6S or 4S battery (GNB 1000mah 6S is fantastic, will be offered soon)
- ~31g motors (the Amax 2305 has fantastic performance for its weight)
- Sub 4.2g prop of shallow pitch: Nazgul 5140, Ethix S4 or Ethix S5
- AUW….try to keep it under 650g if you can but that might be difficult
By popular demand, we’ve made a thicker version of the Glide available. This version shares all the same features as the original and lite versions except that it’s a half mm thicker everywhere. The weight of it is about 121g built and that’s quite hefty in our opinion when the Lite version is just 85g. The weak link in this design ‘should’ be the standoffs now but, the top plate is also 2.5mm thick so it’s less likely to break and impact load is better distributed across standoffs so they’re less likely to bend. This is a mostly untested variant of the Glide thus far.
This frame is made of high grade carbon in 0.5mm thickness layers. Thinner layers make the carbon much stronger and is much more expensive to manufacture. These arms do not have a chamfer on them.
I like sturdy heavier frames. This frames checks a bunch of boxes for me. It’s not too heavy but it’s thick in all of the right places. The carbon is very good quality and the hardware is very good. I will buy another one soon.
solid frame, easy to build, and flies great. I would definitely buy again or recommend this frame
The Glide Hammer is a solid frame that can take a punch. The 6mm are very strong and the hardware it comes with is very high quality. Even the gold hardware has a high quality rating and they don’t strip when tightened down. The 23mm standoff provide enough space for your stack and keeps all the weight centered. You also have the option to buy 6mm dead cat style arms to get your props out of view. There are many build options with having 20x20mm mounting holds in the front, middle, and rear.
The quality of the product is absolutely out of this world. Couldn't be happier. Will be buying another frame soon for a different build!
For the last year and a half, i have flown a competitors frame and taught myself how to fly acro. I crashed alot and rebuilt every component on my first build 5 or 6 times! So i have a small fortune tied up up in that quad.. During my learnimg process i decided that i would Not by a new frame or start a new set up, until i felt comfortable. Finally it all happened and i was crashimg alot less. I chose the hyperlite glide Hammer as my choice.. If i were a pro pilot, this would be my signiture frame!! My personal unit is set up with a Mamba f722s fc, mamba f450 AIO ESC board ,FrSky 4xR sbus RX , Rush Tank Racing vtx, and the Caddix turbo 2 eos camera.. Antenneas are the VAS ion v2 on my fat sharks and the VAS ion v2 mini on the quad, secondary antennea is the tbs pro 5.8.power for the beefeier Hyperlite Glide Hammer comes from a 2306.6/ 2550 kv Hypetrain Cricket motors.. This Bird is wicked fast and super durable on 4s, i may move up to 6s but for now im just stoked that someone has read my mind, exceeded, & and blew me away!! The Hyperlite Glide series airframes are better than imagined!!! ~BudC
