This motor is unique in a few ways. First off, it’s sporting our new lighter prop shaft design, it’s got a 9x9 M2 mount so it will fit lighter style frames and the overall stator volume is higher than 1605 while weighing much less than it should. This motor is ideal for high powered 3” operation and low weight 4” crafts.
The goal of this motor is maximum power and control for a medium weight 3" quad. A taller stator with taller magnets are used for the high RPM control needed for small 3" props but a wide 16mm diameter with middling 4100kv is used to manage the heat dissipation of the motor in use. This is one of the most genuinely unique and interesting motors we've got in our lineup.
This motor is very powerful and 'notchy'. Please be sure to use a properly applied and appropriately sized capacitor.

- 4” 3S with very low load props and under ~250g AUW

They made my AOS 3.5 feel more like a 5".
I got a set of these to put on a Botgrinder/Ummagawd Grinderino when they updated the arms to accept the 9mm mount. I think this is the right amount of motor for a slightly "heavy" 3.5" build - a lighter (sub-250g) build can get by with less, but the Grinderino is a chonkier frame and benefits from a little more power. The blurb says these are notchy motors, and they are if you just spin them by hand but I haven't noticed any detrimental effects on the tune. Here again, a stiffer/heavier frame helps. Anyway, these are good for a build about that size.

Great motors plenty of power...
Perfect Motor For My Soon To Be Release Prototype 3.5" 5mm Arms Frame. These motors tune quite nicely and with my current setup, I surprisingly can run this quad with nearly every battery possible from 3000mah 3s Lipo for 16minutes of cursing, to even 1100mah 4s lips for freestyle. My favorite is the Pyrodrone 700mah 5s Lipo with motor output set to 82% percent. I run these motors on a 3.5" prop with 4s and 5s. These motors have taken a beating along with the New Prototype 3.5" Frame. Thank you Bob...It's performing excellent!
