This ring comes from GepRC and it's one of those products in the industry that is unusually good similar to the Bee Brain V2 from NBD. It's not the most protective or the most durable but it's quite good at being resilient given it's low weight of only 13g per set. Weight is the biggest enemy especially on the ends of the arms. Because of the low cost and performance of these guards, it just doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel. To be absolutely clear, this is not a duct. It is only a guard. That being said, it does have some minor duct-like effect because of the roll at the edge of the rim.
Specifications:
- Polycarbonate material
- ~61.5mm OD
- ~54.5mm ID
- ~3.25g per duct
- 9x9mm M2 mounting pattern
Top of guard ring is 20mm above top of mounting base
Guard ring is 7mm tall

I had no clue how fun & powerful this 3” Toothpick would be... I’m using the 6350kv motors on 2S & 3S & it’s an absolute blast & flies amazing on both cell counts.. obviously 3S has more juice but the 2S is no slouch! Definitely recommend! 100G AUW with the new DJI 04 system.

I like that the frame is simple, strong, easy to work with, and doesn't look like a Kirigami craft. I like that the motors are protected. My 2mm frame with 1205+ motors, Matrix 1s AIO, Avatar Lite, and 850 mAh batt is a 66g beast. It is 47g without battery. Over/under configuration.

The FPV Cycle Glide has always been an exceptional frame. I first built 5-inch quads using Glide frames in the summer of 2019 and haven’t looked back since. The building and flight experience has always been outstanding.
The new 8mm Glide has been both modernized and revolutionized to meet all the demands of a modern FPV frame. What’s remarkable is that it retains the lightweight characteristics of the original Glide, making it one of the best frames on the market today. Structurally, the way this frame locks together is unmatched in strength and design. The 8mm Glide is an impressive blend of durability and lightness, making it an excellent choice for a bando basher, cinematic quad, or anything in between. Its slim deck design is ideal for modern components. My first build with this frame featured the DJI O3 setup, marking my transition to digital FPV. Now, I’m planning to build a couple of O4-equipped quad as well. With a few printed accessories, this frame becomes virtually bulletproof.
Once the O4 camera solution is available, we’ll be in serious business for 2025. The timing of this frame’s release was perfect for me, and I’m happy to be flying and repping FPV Cycle frames. Highly recommend this frame to all!

Well built frame. Went together perfectly. Can’t wait to fly it

The frame is very light and strong. Also very easy to assemble.

I’ve had a couple other toothpick I frames while I was waiting for this one to come back in stock and I’m glad I still ordered this! It allows more thrust by the frame compared to my others and it has noticeably better flight characteristics than my HGLRC frame.

I really like this little frame, I got 2 of the four inch and two of the 5-in. Since they on sale, I always buy sets of two so I got spare parts... But the thing flies amazing and is super fast, flys great on stock betaflight, i still gotta tune it there was a little yaw wash on 6s. Also it's fairly rugged, its already took a few tumbles cuz its so fast i clipped branches a few times hitting gaps in the trees. I built mine with 1505 motors on a 40a aio, 1.6w whoop vtx which is pretty heavy, was thing about leaving off the metal case, and an old predator nano off an old build, under a picklepick canopy. I just wish there was higher pitched 3.5 and 4 in props so it could go faster I think there's more in those motors. Those 3630 hit 119, but the 3052 hit 125 according to the gps, was no wind today. I saw somebody complaining about putting the strap in, I think they're strap-on was getting in the way cuz all I had to do was loosen the five bottom screws slip it right through and tighten them back down... Anyhow I love the frames and the filters i got at the same time, thanks Kabab!
The 8mm arm is especially cool, and I think adding shrink tubing to the motor guard is smarter than making it out of TPU.
I can say that there were no frame-related limitations in PID tuning.
I broke the fixing hole on the camera body when I hit the camera plate, so I fixed it with double-sided tape of an appropriate thickness.

Okay, this frame is a blast! I love it! It's so tiny and quite! I can fly it around the neighborhood without drawing attention. I have bashed it into trees and asphalt and it his a tough little bugger. Going to build a second, because I fly it the most!

EDIT: After finishing up the build and flying it, this is a fantastic frame. Disregard my comments about the O3 camera mount and just use one screw per side and you’ll get all the angle you want. It would be neat if an updated mount became available that utilized two screws per side like the old Vista/AU cams, but not critical.
Love the design of this thing. Very different from basically anything out there. Went together pretty easily, too. Not sure what all the m2 pressnuts are for? They don’t seem to fit anywhere. Also, no M3 holes for the center 30x30 stack??? Drilled them out and all is well, but still.
Camera mounts for the O3 cam aren’t perfect either. Looks like it’s locked off at 35°, which works, but not completely ideal.
Looking forward to flying this thing!

So far, so good! Built for my 1s baby tooth and they seem efficient and smooth. Im getting 6 1/2 min of cruising time on 450 mah. Great price, and I do think the 2mm shaft holds the props more securely.

This set up is a great option for the 5 inch quad. It’s not a cheap price motor by any means, but when you have the option to buy the bell and stater separately, you can always have extras. Plus one of the best motors one can buy.

Great customer service and the frame is just perfect

I love the way it flys... Super light... It's one of my favorites!

These things feel very well made and the colors are super clean and bright. I dont have too many flights on them yet but so far they feel very responsive and controlled. Would definitely buy again.
