TUNING TIPS:
If being used on a TP3 frame or other skinny arm frame, consider reducing ramp up/start up power by a notch or two from default.  Strongly recommend turning on the D notch filter in any flight code you're running.  Consider reducing PID's a bit from default and increasing TPA.  The cross braces for the TP3 arms will allow you to reduce filters and achieve higher tuned control performance if you're searching for it.

Recommended uses:

Extended use cases:

  • 3" with 4S is fine but tuning will be a PITA.  See tuning tips.
  • 4" (4023 twin blade) with 2S or 3S is okay but again, difficult to tune.

Checkout the TP3 blog for more details

Have not flown them yet!

I have not flown these motors yet, but they came in on time and look really nice. The packaging was really secure and nice. Also thank you for the free battery strap and sticker :) that’s always a nice bonus.

Weak material in motor base makes these worthless

My friend and I decided to both make a toothpick using these motors. We did not “over tighten” the motors as we were warned not to do on this page.
He did a naked vista build while I followed the video linked for an analog build.

What we consistently found is in that the motor base would bend and then rip off the screws.

Pay close attention to my picture.. the motor base is bent.. but the props arent.. literally the props are stronger than the metal. I have lost 2 motors this way while the heavier vista build has lost 4. He no longer wants to use these motors (doesn’t have enough 2 weeks later) and I don’t think I will once I run out of replacements either.

Find something else, these might as well be made of aluminum foil.

Disappointed

I would love to have these motors ..... and your tp3 frame however I’m sure you won’t ever be able to handle the supply ...I’m just worried if I do have the chance to purchase your parts , will I ever be able to get replacements in the future due to high demand with very little inventory ?

The best Toothpick motor on the market!

After testing several toothpick motors this one is the best! It is very smooth and it really feels like 5000 kv (not like other motors). In addition to that the motor just looks gorgeous <3
Would buy again.

Fantastic motor!

I was really surprised how much difference is between 2.5 inch props on 1103 motor and 3 inch prop on those 1303. Even on 2s with 3016 props my quad is fling great. On 3s is pure awesomeness! Durability is also great, after many, quite heavy crashes, motors or shafts did not bend even slightly (1103 with 1.5mm shaft are not so durable...).

Update review from my previous

I made a review about this motor giving it 5 stars and recommending it after flying 2 flights with it. Well on the next flight one of my motors died. I was doing some flips and realized I was going to crash and I wouldn’t be able to recover so I unarmed my quad and I when I tried to take off again my 4th motor won’t spin and it’s not my esc. Giving it two stars to adjust my 5 star review. If they keep dying this easily I’ll be switching them out and going with a different motor on my 3s toothpick.
