These motors are excellent, super smooth and really durable. The only downside is that there are very limited prop options when it comes to 2.5 in size that will fit the 2 mm shaft. I would love to see this go straight t-mount, or HQ/gam fan put out a three blade and a buy blade 2 mm shaft prop.
Great for tp3 batteries
After 5 years of flying 5s I decided to level up to 6s. An with doing so needed to upgrade my motors. So before I set out to find a motor that I thought looked good, I decided to ask the options of like-minded pilots on DroneNation. Glad I did! IvoryViking showed us that these Fpvcycle imperial motors are more than just thee most durable but they also fly amazing! Low throttle control is perfect, mid throttle is a sweet zone, an High throttle is so easy to control! I fly this motor with s5 ethixs prop an have an average flight time of 5+minutes of aggressive freestyle on a 1380mah. 6+ minutes while cruising around on 1400mah. And that is with a GoPro Hero8!! This is on a 5" source one build.
My first pack I was simply surprised at how well they made the quad fly. You can definitely see the amount of time put into the construction of these motors. The bell thickness is twice as thick of a xing pro series motor. I'll break an arm before I break the motor! Don't let the size of this motor think it's heavy, it definitely makes up for it in power an control.
Now that I'm hook to the power of 6s , planning to build a armattan chameleon Ti 5". And think I might buy another 4 of these. We shall see next week on payday what the wife says ;)
I'm a very happy customer!
Amazing deal, and once I got the esc settings sorted out no desync.
Nice motors. I have these in all kv’s, and I like them all. Good balance of power for weight. These on 2s 3” are really fun to fly. They do require a lot of voltage. When the voltage drops in the lower range it seems like the motors struggle to maintain speed, and I get some wobs. I thought it was a tune issue then I tried newer, and older batteries. They were like night, and day the difference in performance. I am going to buy more.
transfer from rotorriot outlaw this frame feels really smooth, flies good even with a bad tune, the sound is even different. Feel really spacious during build, I had trouble finding place to fit capacitor in many small frames, but not this one, fc esc stack maybe more difficult to cramp in though. I may made a bad choice on motor, 4s 3000kv with 5inch is a little bit too sensitive for me, quad hovers around 15% throttle, but I guess this frame is much less noisy than the rotor riot one I felt I have easier time to control the altitude. Also great 3d print parts support in the wild(brain3d) make the build look clean.
Emax ECO II 2004 3000KV with HQ T5x2x3, iFlight Blitz F7 aio 55a, 4s 660mAh, naked vista, ~205g without battery
Very nice presoldered combination of cap and tvs diode
I built an Incisor and since it can run a 20-degree tilt with no props in view, this is the mount for it. My only complaint is that I can't just print one myself, but at least it fits an ND filter which is a must.
Love this motor great control good quality
Just treat yourself, go ahead and get these motors..
Really nice motors. The construction, and materials seem good quality. Working well for me so far. I use them on a baby tooth. I like them well enough I am going to try other kv’s as well.
Using a 3” and a 3.5” cinewhoop with open ducts and carrying a full GoPro 10, these motors come down only slightly warm to the touch despite the Arizona heat and both crafts weighing over 500 grams AUW. Doesn’t seem to matter what props I use, as the 3.5” currently has 6 blades on it and is only slightly warmer than the 3” with 3 blades. Smooth power, only a few flights so we’ll see how long they last. Very positive experience so far using 4s and the 3200kv motors.
These motors have just the power a 1s baby tooth should have to fly like the big bois..
The components of the kit are well made. Everything works well except the drill bit is too big. I happened to already have a bit that was the correct size for a 2mm prop so I was able to make it happen, but without that I would’ve been out of luck.
Would be great to get parts in the EU!
